PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU FILL OUT THE FORM!
The Starbucks store at 288 Main St, Reading, MA will make history THIS MONDAY as the first ever Starbucks in Massachusetts to hold an in-person vote about forming an election. Starbucks is hoping that having the election in person will intimidate workers against voting "UNION YES!" but we want to encourage the workers and prove management wrong!
The voting is happening at the store (288 Main St, Reading) from 9am-11am and 3pm-5pm, and the union will also be holding an ice cream social at a local ice cream place for union supporters between the two shifts of voting.
We need folks to come for either or both voting shifts to hold signs that say "We Support You!", "Congrats On Using Your Voice!", "Welcome to the Family!", "Welcome to the Party!", "Stronger Together!", and similar messages to encourage folks. We ask that folks not bring anything to promote any other group or organization other than Starbucks Workers United. (If you're a union member, it's okay to wear a hat or t-shirt from your own union local to show solidarity.)
We are really trying to get Starbucks workers from shops that have already unionized to Reading, so if that's you, PLEASE PLEASE come. Also, a lot of those workers don't have cars and/or live in Boston/ Somerville/ Chelsea area or in the Worcester area, so if you have a car and can help give rides to folks coming from that area, that's also a HUGE help. See below for details.
