Walking Tour - A People's History of Portland
Join the A. Philip Randolph Institute Maine Chapter for a Portland Old Port Walking Tour with Seth Goldstein From Atlantic Black Box.

Taking inspiration from Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States, this tour through Portland’s Old Port highlights the stories of the city’s historically marginalized communities. From the colonial assault on Indigenous peoples to the enslavement of Africans, ABB Education Coordinator Seth Goldstein will help to reveal the brutal realities hidden behind many of our finest facades while projecting onto the built environment the many contributions of the resilient and extraordinary individuals who lived and labored here.
