Tell Howard University to give DCNA members the respect we and our patients deserve.
After many months of bargaining, Howard University and Adventist Health continue to demand differential cuts that will cost nurses and licensed healthcare professionals up to $4,600 a year.

And despite dangerous staffing shortages during a pandemic, management refuses to discuss DCNA safe staffing proposals that will keep our patients safe.

As DNCA nurses and licensed healthcare professionals, we are devoted to our patients and the community. Other DC area hospitals have signed contracts with NO TAKEAWAYS. Why is HU-HUH management treating us with less respect than other DC area nurses have received?

* Nurses and licensed healthcare professionals deserve dignity and respect.
* We deserve a fair contract.
* Our patients deserve safe staffing and safe patient care.

“Howard University is the first historic black college. I’ve always been proud to work here at the hospital, serving the community. But Howard should be ashamed. They are denying us and our patients adequate staffing and are demanding takeaways during this pandemic. Please sign our petition to tell Howard University to get back to the table and give us and our patients the respect we deserve." - Valesay Cherie, RN, DCNA Bargaining Team Member, Howard University Hospital.
