November General Election: Poll Observer Agreement 2022
Poll observers are the eyes and ears for the Democratic Party of Virginia's Voter Protection Team at polling locations across the state. You will help us ensure that eligible Virginians are able to successfully cast their ballot, which makes poll observing the single most important thing you can do to guarantee a strong, healthy democracy – other than casting a ballot yourself.

This is the official signup form to be a Poll Observer (not an interest form). Once you fill out this form, you have committed to volunteer as a Poll Observer! We are so thankful!

We need your help on Election Day and during the early voting period!

• Election Day Poll Observing: All-day (approx. 5:15 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) (strongly preferred) or half-day
• Early Vote Poll Observing: Half-day (approx. 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.)

About You:
• No previous experience or legal training is necessary.
• You do not need to be a Virginia resident.

About Our Support for You:
• You will be provided with all the information and written materials you need.
• You will be supported by an experienced legal boiler room every step of the way.

Election Day and Early Vote Poll Observing
We will have poll observers on Election Day (November 8, 2022) and during Early Voting (September 23-November 5). If you are available during Early Voting, we will follow up on specific scheduling and locations -- you can choose which days work best for you!

For CARPOOLING: Most locations only have one poll observer assigned to them because we need to cover as many locations as possible, so will do our best to place you at locations near each other.

Virtual Training
During the training, we will cover relevant election law, voter registration requirements, best practices for poll observers, and how to use our reporting tool. Please note, if you are not available on these days, there will be more sessions to come. Additional training sessions will be provided on a rolling basis.  Training sessions will be held virtually on Mondays at 6PM for experienced observers (within the past two years) and on Wednesdays at 6PM for first time observers. Please use the links below to sign up for a training session. You are only required to take one session. 
When will you attend a Poll Observer Zoom training session? These training sign up links will be sent to you as well.
