1	The Parlor Drop Off - Accepted Items	Last Review & Updated 04-15-24

2	All drop offs must be reserved here. Please do not show up without a reservation. Please do not leave items outside the building at any time, for any reason. Items left outside will be more likely to go in the trash than they are to be reused or help people. Thank you for your cooperation.
3	Please do not buy anything new for this project - we are a community reuse/redistribution project dedicated to both people & planet, and are doing our best to redistribute resources that already exist within our communities that are no longer needed by their current owner. However, we appreciate you ensuring all items are in good, reusable condition.
4	Items collected at The Parlor are redistributed across a number of community organizations and non-profits that support recent migrants AND long-time Chicagoans that need community support, as well as other non-profits & small businesses that have reuse purposes for items that would otherwise be landfilled or recycled. Follow us on Instagram @theparlorchicago for more information as we share more about our redistribution partners. We cannot guarantee any specific destination for your items, but we commit to making sure it gets used and avoids landfill.

29	MENS / MASC ADULT CLOTHING: Sweatpants, casual pants, jeans, tees, hoodies, casual sweaters, new underwear, gently used pyjamas. We cannot currently accept: button down shirts of any style, suits, formalwear, smart officewear, any winter-wear UNLESS it is size 2X+. Please do not bring us used underwear.	Please note: we currently cannot accept formal shirts, suits or very smart office wear (as of April 15 2024).
32	FEMME/FEMALE CLOTHING: CURRENTLY ON PAUSE WITH ALL FEMME/FEMALE CLOTHING	We cannot currently accept adult femme clothing due to our current volumes in stock. Please watch this space for when we start to accept these items again!

50	Reusable/Canvas Shopping Bags	e.g. Canvas or thicker plastic, anything that you would commonly reuse as a shopping bag. These are much appreciated by food pantries!

104	Empty Garden Soil Bags - please remove as much dirt as possible, and must not have any tears/rips aside from the opening at the top. Please make sure they are in good enough conditoin that we could fill them with litter that was find during our Trash People neighborhood clean ups!		New! Added April 15

108	BATHROOM A note on bathroom items: please be mindful of what you are bringing - our bathroom items are almost exclusively distributed to migrant and other vulnerable populations. Specialty/luxury items such as special scrubs, bamb bombs, skincare products etc are typically not needed by the organizations or individuals we support. Please only bring basics / the items listed below. If you would like to see if we can use other items, please bag separately and ask the volunteer on duty if we can use them. We do accept gently used items ONLY if they are in packaging that doesn't require the product to be touched e.g. gently used showergel is good, but gently used lipbalm is not. We appreciate your consideration! :)
