Pass the No Hungry Kids in Schools Act

Progressive champion Rep. Katie Porter just introduced legislation to help schools provide no-cost meals to students without forcing parents to spend hours filling out paperwork.

If passed, the No Hungry Kids in Schools Act would be a game changer for countless American kids and their families.

"Keeping kids from going hungry is one of the best investments our nation can make in our communities and in our economy,” said Porter, a single, working mom of three school-aged kids.

"The thought of anyone’s child going hungry at school is devastating and we must take steps to ensure every student has access to a school meal,” added Rep. Pete Aguilar, another California Democrat.
