Listen up! Workers demand an Ontario for all

Start: Monday, August 08, 202212:00 PM

On August 8, the Ontario Legislature will be back in session. That means the Doug Ford government will be setting their priorities for the months ahead.

We know what the priorities should be.

Ontarians are hurting. While interest rates are rising, people are struggling to pay for groceries, cover transportation costs, and make rent or mortgage payments.

We need a government that will take a serious look at affordability and re-building public services.

Ford won with 18% of the vote. Nowhere did he or his candidates campaign on cuts, roll-backs, or privatization. We need to remind this government that we didn’t vote for privatization of health care, cuts to education or handouts to developers. And we won't stand for it. We demand much more.

A strong majority of Ontarians support our demands: a $20 minimum wage, 10 paid sick days, well-funded public services, affordability, and better access to a union.

Join us at Queen’s Park on Monday, August 8 at 12:00 P.M. to make sure Ford’s Conservatives hear us loud and clear: "We are the majority. We demand more!"
