Thank you for posting HB1393, the fentanyl test strip bill, for a vote in the House Judiciary Committee on May 24th. Thank you for sponsoring the amendment to improve this life-saving legislation.

As you know, Pennsylvania ranks 3rd in overdose fatality rates in the nation. More than 5,000 Pennsylvanians died as a result of overdose last year alone and drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in our state. These deaths are preventable!

The overdose crisis has affected families and communities across our state. Far too many families have lost loved ones to overdose. Those we lost are our sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, and wives and husbands. HB1393 will give Pennsylvania another tool to save lives and prevent suffering for our families and communities. Working together, we can make a difference!
