The Biden administration has broken their climate promises yet again:

• A year after approving more fossil fuel drilling permits on our public lands than Trump, the Biden Administration has announced plans to start selling oil and gas leases on 144,000 acres of our national lands in nine states. More will almost certainly follow.

• The Biden Administration is also about to announce a new five-year plan for new leasing on millions of acres of our ocean waters.

• Finally, the Administration is developing rules that allow these disastrous leases to continue for years to come.

Let’s be absolutely clear: If we want to avoid the most catastrophic impacts of climate change, pursue justice for frontline communities, and secure energy independence for the American people, we must end new federal fossil fuel leasing now and transition to a more reliable renewable energy future.
