One of the most important things you can do to support legislation that maters to you and your business is to tell your story. Telling a personal story makes an emotional connection, that impacts memory. That is why people remember stories much better than data points. Personal stories also bring an issue to life, and tell people why they should care. Whether you are writing an email to a legislator, testifying in committee, or publishing an opinion in your local newspaper, telling your story will have an impact.
