EPA: Prioritize the review of vinyl chloride's safety

Beyond Plastics and our allies met with EPA Assistant Administrator Freedhoff in DC late July to urge the agency to ban vinyl chloride, a toxic chemical used to make polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic. Now we're urging the EPA to include vinyl chloride in the short list of chemicals whose safety it will review this fall under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Join us in urging the EPA to include vinyl chloride in its priority review list - the critical next step in the process of banning this carcinogenic chemical.
