City College is a majority student of color pillar of San Francisco. It's the largest source of degrees and job skills in the city. It provides underserved residents of San Francisco with the training they need to improve their lives and stay in their city. But CCSF needs more support to sustainably meet the needs of San Franciscans.
That's why a historic coalition of CCSF labor, student, & community groups are bringing a revenue measure to San Francisco voters in November. The measure is a tiered parcel tax (i.e. a progressively applied tax on property) that will provide CCSF with the $45 million annually it needs to sustainably serve the residents of San Francisco. CCSF's classified staff union (SEIU 1021), faculty union (AFT 2121), & facilities union (SF Building Trades) formed the CCSF Revenue Unity Coalition because they understood that the real long-term solution to the State's underfunding of CCSF is more support, not downsizing. RSVP here to be a part of this fight. You need 14,000 registered SF voters signed on by July 11, so it's time to go out & talk to family, friends, and neighbors about why City College is the Heartbeat of San Francisco.
