BREAKING NEWS: Wells Fargo Workers File For Historic Union Elections

On November 20, 2023, workers at two Wells Fargo locations filed authorization cards with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to establish our union. Through their signed cards, workers expressed overwhelming support for Wells Fargo Workers United -CWA.

Ben Eisen at the Wall Street Journal was the first to break the story this morning. You can help spread this history-making news by sharing the article on social media.

This is a milestone for our movement that will have a lasting impact on the banking industry. When workers win and our union begins the collective bargaining process, all sorts of improvements in wages, benefits and working conditions will be possible.

Please take a moment to watch the announcement videos from Wells Fargo workers at the Bethel, Alaska and Albuquerque, New Mexico branches and share them to spread the news:

So, what happens next? The company could choose to voluntarily recognize our union and begin contract negotiations, but we expect that they will stall by requesting an NLRB election. But we are not backing down. We will stay united and win our union elections. Please show your support by sharing our union announcement videos!

We also need to keep organizing. So register and join our next upcoming national meeting, this time focused on helping Wells Fargo branch workers organize your branches. Join us on Sunday, December 3 at 2 PM Eastern time. While this online meeting is primarily focused on assisting branch workers organizing, the meeting is open to all Wells Fargo workers! Join us to learn more about how you can form a union at your location.

Our first national membership meeting on November 16 was a huge success. So much so that we exceeded the capacity of the Zoom call. So please, RSVP to the December 3 meeting early and log in to the meeting promptly to ensure that you are able to attend.

Filing for union elections is a first of its kind achievement at a major bank, realized through relentless organizing by Wells Fargo workers. We are excited to continue building our union, because together, we have the power to make change at Wells Fargo!
