Global Solidarity Party and Art Build!
Thursday, April 13 6-9pm
DC Brau Brewery
3178-B Bladensburg Rd NE,
Washington, DC 20018
This April, social movement and civil society leaders from around the globe will be traveling into Washington, DC for the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. Inside the meetings we’ll be working hard to bring the voices of the communities most impacted by the policies of these institutions into the discussion. Outside the meetings we’ll be making noise with public demonstrations and artistic interventions.
But we know that building strong and deep ties across borders is essential to building a powerful and sustained movement to hold these institutions accountable. That’s why we’ll be getting together away from the IMF/World Bank campus at DC Brau (a local brewery) for an evening of food, music, and solidarity building. We’ll also be making signs and banners for the Big Shift Global march the following day!
