Nato battlegroup's firepower put to the test on Exercise Ramming Bull in Lithuania
The firepower of Nato's Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) has been put to the test during a series of live-fire exercises in Lituania.
Exercise Ramming Bull, conducted by the German-led Nato eFP Battlegroup, is designed to test the readiness, cohesiveness and interoperability of the force.
The exercise is seen as vital in helping to understand how interoperability works between the Nato allies while learning how to integrate at a technical and tactical level.
This will allow the military leaders to observe and help teach, coach and mentor their peers and subordinates.
Nato countries participating in the exercise included Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands and the United States.
"These types of exercises set conditions for both the United States forces here in Lithuania and our Nato allies to effectively respond to any challenge anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice", said US Army Major Steven Beckman.
"Only when you're down in the mud, in the snow, that will break down those barriers and allow us to get to the heart of whatever needs to be done to set us up for success."
