Hi, my name is Halo Benson and I am an Assange activist in the United States. I am putting together some boxes centered around a nationwide campaign to urge our representatives to sign House Resolution 934. We have 59 supporters, made up of groups and individuals, in 17 states that have agreed to do these boxes.
There are no t-shirts or cool keychains or stickers in these boxes. Instead, each box will contain letters and postcards, all customized to the supporter's location, stamped, and ready to sign.
- letters to your representative urging them to sign the resolution
- post cards to the other representatives in your state urging them to sign the resolution
- letters to your Senators informing them that you've asked your Representative to sign the resolution
- letters to the Representatives who have already signed the resolution asking them to speak with your Representative about it
- letters to the members of the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government asking them to open an investigation into the government's persecution of journalist Julian Assange
The box will also include
- a letter to the Committee to Protect Journalists calling them out for leaving him off their list of imprisoned journalist again this year and asking them to rectify their mistake
- informational literature about House Resolution 934 and what to do about it that is customized for your state
- a detailed list of other actions you can take
Each box will contain between 33 and 85 pieces of mail, depending on how many Representatives your state has.
We have a big opportunity right now with this Resolution. This letter writing campaign combined with an online campaign will go a long way towards passing this resolution.
