A letter from OPEN’s Executive Director

Dear friend,

Two years ago, OPEN was founded to dismantle the social stigma and systemic barriers that too often cast a shadow over the lives and the love of non-monogamous families, communities, and individuals.

Our vision is clear. We believe a future where all forms of family and relationships are respected and protected, where everyone is free to choose the relationships that are right for them, and where love is celebrated in all its forms.

Building an advocacy nonprofit in an emerging issue area is not easy work, and this journey has not been without its challenges. But I could not be more proud of what we’ve accomplished so far: passing non-discrimination protections, standing up to major tech companies like Facebook, and providing meaningful resources to help people thrive in the face of a system not built with our families and relationships in mind.

With your support, the future looks bright. This year, we’ll see non-discrimination protections passed in even more cities. We’ll gather in celebration during the global Week of Visibility for Non-monogamy. We’ll help companies create more inclusive environments for non-monogamous professionals. We’ll ensure that the non-monogamy movement has a seat at the table and a voice in the cultural conversation.

To continue our work, we rely on your generous support. In OPEN’s third year we aim to grow our team, widen our reach, and deepen our impact. Your contribution is a direct investment in our shared vision for a more accepting and inclusive future. Thank you for helping write the next chapter of OPEN’s story.

With gratitude,
Brett Chamberlin, Executive Director
