Thank you for taking action, fighting back against Kevin McCarthy’s bad deal for Indian Country
Cuts to programs ranging from Indian Health Services to the Social Security Administration to SNAP food benefits and Medicaid would disproportionately hurt Native peoples since poverty rates among Native peoples are roughly double the national average.
Instead of cuts to critical programs and services, we’re demanding Congress hold a clean debt ceiling vote so the country doesn’t default on funding already approved by Congress under Democratic and Republican presidents alike.
