President Biden campaigned on a promise of decency and respect toward immigrant families, a striking contrast to the harsh family separation policies of his predecessor.
Yet, right now, Biden has placed an extra 1500 troops instead of much-needed supplies that will provide no sustenance, warmth, or shelter to anyone.
These families and children pose not a military threat but a humanitarian crisis. They are fleeing violence and trauma at home, seeking the blessings of safety and freedom. They do not deserve to be greeted at gunpoint at our gates.
