I am running for re-election against Republican State Senator Jake Chapman in Senate District 14 in 2022. I'm used to winning tough elections, and with your help, we are going to win again.

My opponent has claimed that teachers have a “sinister agenda,” and is currently sponsoring legislation to throw teachers in jail for up to a year.

While our state faces a historic teacher shortage, Senator Chapman is dead set on vilifying hardworking educators. The last thing teachers, students, and parents need are these attacks on our kids’ teachers that will only make the workforce crisis worse.

I was the only Democrat to flip a Republican-held Senate seat in 2020 - and now I’m ready to do it again in 2022 against one of the worst state senators in Iowa.
