The University of California (UC) regents are boldly forging a new path by defying convention and breaking barriers as they take an unprecedented leap forward toward hiring immigrant students without legal status.
By allowing undocumented students to work within the UC system, we provide them with a pathway to financial stability, professional growth, and the opportunity to utilize their skills and knowledge for the betterment of our communities.
Supporting the University of California's work permit plan for undocumented immigrants is a step toward building a fair and just society. We must reject the fear-mongering tactics employed by right-wing extremists and stand up for the rights and aspirations of all, regardless of their immigration status.
